The Admiralty House development
Mount Wise is an award winning 28-acre residential development on the edge of Plymouth city centre with over 300 new homes having been completed since 2012. These houses and apartments have been carefully integrated within the estate’s historic landscape with its listed buildings, cricket pitch and independent café.
Grade II listed Admiralty House, originally occupied by the Governor of Plymouth and most recently the residence of the senior Port Admiral, has witnessed many historic events over the years and hosted luminaries such as King George V and Winston Churchill.
Admiralty House forms the striking centrepiece of the re-development of Mount Wise. Approached via the tree lined Mount Wise Crescent, past the beautifully designed Georgian inspired new homes, through the historic gateposts, and into a grand square with the building sitting proudly at one end. All apartments benefit from allocated parking and access to private south facing mature landscaped gardens with views over the River Tamar and the Hamoaze towards Cornwall, Plymouth Sound and beyond.
